  • 1 fryer chicken
  • 1 c. canned whole tomato
  • 1/2 c. cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 c. crushed pineapple
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 slice fresh ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Directions

    Prepare chicken by removing bones and steaming good size pieces (good idea to buy breasts and thighs).

    Dip in tempura batter and fry in hot deep oil.

    Slice each piece in 1/2-inch to 1-inch slices.

    Arrange on a bed of shredded lettuce.

    Cover with sauce.
