- 2 1/2 lb. fryer, cut up
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- oil (for frying)
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. pineapple juice
- 1 c. orange juice
- 2/3 c. pineapple chunks
- 1 small can mandarin oranges
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
Directions

1Rinse the chicken and pat dry.

2Combine flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a sturdy bag.

3Put chicken in bag and shake to coat. Heat about 1/2-inch oil in a heavy frying pan.

4Brown chicken on both sides, frying about 15 to 20 minutes, uncovered.

5Sprinkle chicken with cloves and nutmeg.

6Add 1 tablespoon water to the pan and cover, cooking over low heat another 20 minutes.
