Mandarin Salad

  • 1/4 c. sliced almonds
  • 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar
  • Mandarin Dressing (recipe follows)
  • 1/4 medium head iceberg lettuce
  • 1/4 medium bunch romaine lettuce
  • 2 medium stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly chopped
  • 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange segments, drained

Directions

    Cook almonds and sugar over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted and almonds are coated.

    Cool and break apart.

    Prepare dressing.

    Tear both kinds of lettuce into bite size pieces.

    Toss with dressing, celery, onions, oranges and almonds.
