Ingredients

  • 4 lb. sliced green mango
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 1 pkg. currants
  • 1 Hawaiian chili pepper
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 5 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped ginger
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 pkg. raisins
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Cook ginger root and garlic in water for about 1 hour. Combine sugar and vinegar; simmer for 1 hour.

    Add sliced mango and cook until tender.

    Add remaining ingredients and cook until ready. Serve chutney with your favorite meat.
