Ingredients

  • 1 lb. peeled mango, cut in small pieces
  • 1 pt. vinegar
  • 1/2 lb. currants
  • 1/2 lb. raisins
  • 1/4 lb. blanched almonds
  • 3/4 lb. brown sugar
  • 3 oz. green ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp. white mustard
  • 1/2 c. onions
  • 1/2 c. sweet peppers
  • 1 oz. chilies or hot peppers

Directions

    To vinegar, add sugar and bring to a boil.

    Add spices, vegetables, mangoes, raisins and salt.

    Bring to a boil and boil 30 minutes.

    Pack while at boiling point in sterilized jars and seal.

    Mangoes just beginning to turn are best selected.
