  • 1/2 c. soft shortening
  • 1/2 c. maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts or coconut
  • 1 c. rolled oats
