Maple Candied Walnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. walnut halves
  • 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients over low heat until sugar dissolves.

    (Candy thermometer should read 238°, soft ball stage.) Remove from heat and blend in maple flavoring and butter.

    Add walnut halves.

    Stir gently until creamy.

    Turn out onto waxed paper and separate.
