Maple Candy Balls

Ingredients
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 2 tablespoons maple extract
- 1 1/2 cups nuts, chopped
- 1 (2 lb) package confectioners' sugar
- 24 (1 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, chopped
Directions

1In large bowl, mix together sweetened condensed milk, butter, maple extract and nuts.

2Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar.

3Roll into 1-inch balls.

4Keep refrigerated until ready to dip.

5In heavy saucepan or double broiler, over low heat, melt chocolate.

6Dip balls into chocolate.

7Place on wax paper lined baking sheet until set.

8Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.

9Note: Candy mixture can be chilled in refrigerator up to 2 days before rolling into balls.
