- 2 1/2 lb. carrots of uniform size, cut in 3 x 1/2 x 1/2-inch strips
- 6 c. boiling water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
Directions

1Cook carrots in boiling water, covered, 20 minutes or just until tender.

2Drain.

3Prepare glaze.

4Melt butter in large heavy skillet.

5Add sugar and syrup.

6Simmer, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes or until thick and syrupy.

7When carrots are done dump into skillet; toss until glossy.

8Keep warm.

9Serves 10.
