  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 13 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 34 cup wheat bran or 34 cup wheat bran
  • 12 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 21 ounces apple pie filling
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 12 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon imitation maple flavor

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Grease two 8 x 4 inch loaf pans, I used cooking spray.

    Combine flour, brown sugar, whole wheat flour, bran, walnuts, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

    In a separate bowl mix apple pie filling, evaporated milk, eggs, butter and maple.

    Stir to separate apples.

    Add apple mixture to flour mixture until just moistened.

    Spoon batter into prepared pans.

    Bake 55-65 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean.

    Cool in pans on wire rack for 10 minutes.

    Remove bread to wire racks to cool completely.
