Maple Sticky Buns

Ingredients

  • 1 c. hot potatoes (sweet)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. potato water
  • 7 c. flour (approximately)
  • butter
  • 1 1/2 c. Vermont maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 c. nuts, crushed

Directions

    Add sugar, salt and margarine to hot potatoes; set aside.

    Add yeast and eggs to make warm water.

    Add flour and knead.

    Let rise in greased bowl.

    Punch down; chill.

    Grease baking pan.

    Add maple syrup and nuts.

    Roll dough 1/2 inch thick.

    Brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

    Roll up and cut into 1/2-inch circles.

    Place in pan of syrup and let rise until doubled.
