- 1/3 c. cornmeal
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Stir together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add the remaining ingredients and combine until well blended.

4Pour batter into a well-greased 8 x 8-inch pan.

5Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, until firm in the center and golden on the edges.
