- 1 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
Directions

1Heat maple syrup to boiling point.

2Place in buttered 1 to 2-quart size round baking dish.

3Cream the sugar and butter.

4Add the eggs.

5Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

6Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture.

7Moisten with sufficient milk to make a batter.

8Pour batter onto boiling maple syrup and bake in a 350° oven for 30 to 45 minutes.

9When slightly cooled, turn upside down onto plate and decorate with pecan halves.

10Top with whipped cream, decorated with pecan halves.
