  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Line a 7x11 baking pan with aluminum foil.

    For the crust: mix flour and brown sugar.

    Use a pastry cutter to cut in the butter.

    The dough should end up crumbly.

    Press the dough into the bottom of the baking pan to form an even layer and bake for 15 minutes.

    In a clean bowl use a whisk to break up the eggs and combine them with the brown sugar.

    Mix in the walnuts, maple syrup, melted butter and vanilla extract.

    Pour the topping over the crust and bake for 25 minutes or until set.

    Cool on a wire rack.
