  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. real maple syrup
  • 1 1/4 c. broken walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Partially bake pie shell for 6 minutes in 400° oven.

    Cool. Cream butter and brown sugar well.

    Add beaten eggs and maple syrup.

    Add nuts, vanilla and salt.

    Mix.

    Pour into cooled shell. Bake 15 minutes in 375° oven.

    Reduce heat to 350° and bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes.
