- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. real maple syrup
- 1 1/4 c. broken walnuts or pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Partially bake pie shell for 6 minutes in 400° oven.

2Cool. Cream butter and brown sugar well.

3Add beaten eggs and maple syrup.

4Add nuts, vanilla and salt.

5Mix.

6Pour into cooled shell. Bake 15 minutes in 375° oven.

7Reduce heat to 350° and bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes.
