Ingredients

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • olive oil
  • 1 can Vegeburger
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 2 cans pinto beans *
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 16 oz. water
  • chili powder (Schilling)
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • cayenne pepper

Directions

    Saute garlic and onion in olive oil until onion becomes somewhat transparent.

    Add Vegeburger and continue sauteing until Vegeburger is browned.

    Transfer mixture to large kettle.

    Add drained kidney beans and pinto beans with liquid.

    Peel and blanch tomatoes; chop and add to kettle.

    Next, include tomato sauce and water and cook on medium heat until tomatoes are semi-cooked. Season as desired with suggested seasonings.
