- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 club steak or small Porterhouse steak
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. olive oil or vegetable oil
Directions

1Mix soy sauce with the brown sugar, pepper and olive oil.

2Pour into a shallow pan.

3Put steak in the sauce and spoon a little sauce over top.

4Marinate for 30 minutes, turning several times. Heat a large, heavy skillet.

5Cook the steak over high heat until very brown; turn and cook quickly until very brown.

6Steak will be almost charred on the outside and pink in the middle.
