- 1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper (more or optional)
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
- 4 (14 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/3 c. fresh chopped parsley (1 Tbsp. dried)
- 1/3 c. fresh chopped basil (1 Tbsp. dried)
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Combine olive oil, garlic, onion, red pepper, oregano and Italian seasoning. Saute, stirring often, until onions are transparent.

2Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, (stir occasionally) for about 1 hour. Serve over angel hair pasta.
