Marinated Beef Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Beef Consomme
  • 5 ounces, fluid Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 6 pounds Beef Brisket
  • 1 dash Paprika
  • 1/2 cups Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Liquid Smoke
  • 1/2 cups White Vinegar
  • 3/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Marinade (reserved From Above)

Directions

    Note: Cooking time may vary: Use meat thermometer it is done when it reaches 160 degrees F.

    Mix first 4 ingredients together.

    Place brisket in a covered pan or plastic bag.

    Pour marinade over it.

    Marinate in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight.

    Drain and save 1 cup of marinade.

    Sprinkle paprika on brisket.

    Wrap tight in aluminum foil and roast for 4 hours at 325 degrees (F).

    (Cook till 160 degrees F).

    Mix together last 5 ingredients for the sauce and bring to a boil.

    Simmer for 10 minutes.

    Thinly slice brisket, place in pan and put sauce over it.

    Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees (F).
