Marinated Beef Souvlaki

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup plum sauce
  • 1 tablespoon VEGEMITE
  • few drops of Tabasco sauce
  • 500g rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 6 souvlaki breads
  • 50g lettuce mix
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced

Directions

    Combine the garlic, plum sauce, Vegemite* and Tabasco sauce, add the beef and allow to marinate for 2 hours.

    Heat a non stick frypan and cook the steak in small amounts for 2-3 minutes or until tender.

    Divide the steak between the breads then top with the lettuce, cucumber, tomato and onion then roll to enclose.

    Serve immediately
