- 1 large cabbage
- 1 large white or red onion
- 1 c. white vinegar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. celery seed
- 3/4 c. salad oil
Directions

1Boil vinegar, sugar, salt and celery seed for 2 minutes.

2Add salad oil and bring to boil again.

3Pour over shredded cabbage and onions that have been sliced thin and layered.

4Cover and place in refrigerator overnight.

5Next day turn mixture once and serve.
