Marinated Carrots

  • 2 lb. carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 c. tomato soup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 small onions, thinly sliced and broken into rings
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cook the carrots just until done, but still firm.

    Mix together the tomato soup, sugar, oil, salt, pepper, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

    Add onions and peppers.

    Drain carrots and mix all ingredients.

    Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.

    Serves 6 to 8.
