Marinated Carrots

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sliced carrots
  • 1 medium sliced onion
  • 1 green pepper, cut in rings
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dill weed
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Boil carrots until just tender (8 to 9 minutes).

    Layer onion, carrots and green pepper in a large bowl.

    Heat remaining ingredients to boiling, stirring occasionally.

    Cool slightly. Pour over vegetables.

    Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 8 hours.

    They will keep about 1 week.
