Marinated French Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 1/3 c. ReaLemon lemon juice from concentrate
  • 1/3 c. soy sauce
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp. Wyler's or Steero beef flavor instant bouillon or 2 beef flavor bouillon cubes
  • 1 tsp. thyme leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 (2 lb.) beef brisket, pierced
  • 6 French bread rolls, cut in half

Directions

    In large shallow baking dish, combine all ingredients, except brisket and bread; add brisket.

    Cover; marinate in refrigerator 6 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.

    Cover; roast at 325° for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender, turning after 45 minutes. Remove meat from baking dish; reserve cooking juices.

    Cut brisket into thin slices; serve on rolls with juices for dipping. Refrigerate leftovers.
