Marinated Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 (5 oz.) bottle soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of garlic powder
  • dash of onion powder
  • 1 to 3 lb. boneless rump or chuck roast
  • potatoes
  • carrots

Directions

    Combine first 7 ingredients, blending well.

    Place roast in shallow dish and pour marinade over roast.

    Cover.

    Place in refrigerator for 24 hours, turning once.

    Add roast, potatoes, carrots and marinade to baking dish and bake for 2 hours at 350°. Serve with pan drippings.

    You can make gravy with some of the drippings, if desired.
