- 2 medium Vidalia onions
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- lettuce leaves
Directions

1Slice onions and separate into rings.

2Combine water, sugar and vinegar.

3Stir until sugar dissolves.

4Pour over onion rings, cover and chill at least 3 hours.

5Drain.

6Stir in mayonnaise and celery seed.
