- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 Tbsp. gelatin
- 6 Tbsp. cold water
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
- pinch of salt
- nuts, coconut or powdered sugar
Directions

1Boil first 3 ingredients together to the soft ball stage. Pour over gelatin and cold water that has soaked while syrup boiled.

2Beat for 10 minutes.

3Add egg whites and salt.

4Pour into a pan lined with nuts, coconut or powdered sugar.

5Cool in refrigerator.

6Cut into squares and roll in the nuts.
