Marshmallow Nut Fudge

Ingredients

  • butter
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 (5 1/3 oz.) can evaporated milk (2/3 c.)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 2 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Lightly butter 8 x 8-inch baking pan.

    In saucepan over medium heat, heat sugar, evaporated milk, salt and 2 tablespoons butter to boiling.

    Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat, add remaining ingredients.

    Beat vigorously until marshmallows melt.

    Pour into pan.

    Cool, then cut into 1-inch squares.

    Makes 2 pounds.
