  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavor
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar

    Cream Crisco and sugar until smooth.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Combine salt and flour.

    Add to mixture.

    Beat well and stir in vanilla.

    Cook in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 300° until brown.
