Mary'S Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 fryer, boiled and deboned
  • 4 boiled eggs
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 4 pkg. cornbread
  • season to taste
  • 1 small pkg. chicken livers
  • 1 c. green onions
  • 1 c. celery
  • 2 cream of chicken soups
  • 2 cream of mushroom soups

Directions

    Boil chicken with the livers, green onions, celery and green pepper.

    Bake cornbread according to package directions.

    Crumble baked cornbread, add deboned chicken, boiled eggs, chopped chicken livers, green onion, green pepper and celery.

    Mix soups full strength to mixture, pour in chicken broth and mix well.

    Season to taste.

    Do not mix too dry.

    Bake at 350° until golden brown.
