  • 10 potatoes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. warm milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 c. grated cheese (mild or sharp Cheddar)

Directions

    Cook potatoes in salted water; whip hot potatoes with salt, pepper, butter and milk until light and fluffy.

    Pour into buttered 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Spread with whipped cream and sprinkle with cheese.

    Bake in moderate oven at 350° for about 20 minutes (until lightly brown on top).
