- 9 large baking (Idaho) potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter (at room temperature)
- 12 oz. cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 3/4 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Place potatoes in large saucepan and add water to cover.

2Heat to boiling.

3Reduce heat and simmer over medium heat until tender, then drain.

4Place potatoes in mixer bowl.

5Cut butter and cheese into small pieces and add to potatoes.

6Beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

7Beat in sour cream.

8Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper.

9Serve immediately or reheat in a buttered casserole at 300° for 20 minutes.
