  • 1 1/2 pounds russet potatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons chopped chives

    Peel the potatoes and cut them into 2-inch cubes.

    Put the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water.
