  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • beet liquid
  • 3 cups sliced cooked beets
  • 1 tbsp. butter

Directions

    Mix cornstarch with sugar, salt and pepper.

    Stir in vinegar and water.

    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and thickened.
