- 1/2 c. matzo meal
- oil (for frying)

1Soak broken up matzo in hot water; drain.

2Beat egg yolks well; add matzo.

4Add matzo meal; fold in beaten egg whites.

5Heat oil in frying pan.

6Drop large spoonfuls of batter into oil.

7Fry until brown on one side.

8Turn; fry until brown on other side.

9Drain on paper towels.

10Serve with applesauce or sprinkled with sugar.
