Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. uncooked regular oatmeal
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 2/3 c. catsup
  • 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/3 c. water

Directions

    Mix ground beef, oatmeal, milk, onion, pepper and salt together.

    Make into balls and brown in 3 tablespoons of shortening and drain.

    Bring catsup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar and water to a boil.

    Drop meat balls in and let simmer for a little while.

    Put into chafing dish and keep warm.
