Ingredients

  • broth of ham
  • 2 or more c. water (according to amount of broth and if salty)
  • small amount chopped onion
  • cornmeal

Directions

    Add water to broth of ham.

    Add onion.

    Cook with broth until onion is tender.

    Add cornmeal a little at a time until thickened. Stop adding meal before too dry.

    If thick enough after it is chilled, can be sliced and fried until brown.
