Ingredients
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. warm milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 c. cracker crumbs
- 1/2 c. peppers, chopped
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburg
- 2 beaten eggs
Directions

1Mix together hamburg, sausage, pepper and salt.

2Do not overmix.

3Meat will get tough.

4Saute onion and pepper.

5Pour over meat.

6Mix eggs, cracker crumbs and warm milk until moist.

9Do not overmix.

10Wet hands and roll loaf until slightly firm.

11Let stand 1 hour.

12Put foil in roaster and butter foil.

13Put 1 cup water in roaster (outside of foil). Put loaf in foil.

14Cover.

15Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Uncover.

16Brown for 1 hour.
