Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 lb. country sausage
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 2 sprigs parsley, sage, basil, oregano, garlic and chives, chopped
  • 6 slices soft bread, cubed
  • 1 1/4 c. warm milk
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. dried bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. catsup

Directions

    Thoroughly mix meats, seasonings, onions and celery.

    Soak bread in milk; add eggs and Worcestershire sauce.

    Beat with rotary beater.

    Combine meat, egg mixture, bread crumbs and catsup.

    Place in shallow pan.

    Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Baste with liquid in pan at 15 minute intervals.
