  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 c. corn flakes or 1 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. diced green pepper (optional)

Directions

    Mix well and form into loaf; put into pan.

    In can of remaining tomato sauce, add 2 heaping tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon mustard.

    Mix well.

    Pour over loaf in pan.

    Bake uncovered at 375° for 1 hour or until done.
