Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/4 lb. hot Italian sausage
- 3 Tbsp. chopped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. red wine or chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp. bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. rosemary
- pepper rings (for garnish)
Directions

1Remove casings from sausage.

2Combine ground beef and sausage in a bowl.

3Add red onion, garlic, egg and tomato paste.

4Combine to blend well.

5Add wine or broth and bread crumbs and mix thoroughly.

6Shape meat mixture into a loaf.

7Place in a loaf pan.

8Sprinkle with rosemary.

9Bake at 350° for about 1 hour or until meat loaf tests done.

10Garnish with pepper rings.
