  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs (about 1 1/2 slices)

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. cooked elbow macaroni
