Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) beef broth
  • 4 medium potatoes, quartered
  • 4 carrots, peeled and cut in 1-inch chunks
  • 8 small white onions, peeled

Directions

    Combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg and seasonings (except parsley).

    Roll into meat balls.

    Brown in oil in 4-quart Dutch oven.

    Combine soup and broth in Dutch oven.

    Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

    Add parsley.
