- 1 sliced onion
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pinch of poultry seasoning
Directions

1Brown sliced onion.

2Mix soup, 1/2 cup water, lemon juice and sugar.

3Add to onions, simmer while making meatballs.

4Mix egg, hamburger, bread crumbs, 1/3 cup water, salt and poultry seasoning.

5Make into small balls.

6Add one at a time to sauce. Simmer 1 to 2 hours, stirring gently, occasionally.

7Sauce will thicken as it cooks.

8I usually prepare three times the recipe. It seems to taste better as it is heated again.

9It makes great leftovers.
