- 2 sticks margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream together margarine and sugar.

2Add egg yolk and vanilla. Mix in flour; this will be stiff.

3Add 1/2 cup nuts.

4Press into well oiled jelly roll pan.

5Beat egg white until frothy, then smooth over dough.

6Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts over all.

7Pat dough slightly.

8Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes, until lightly brown. Cool slightly, then cut into bars and finish cooling on rack.
