  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Beat egg whites stiff, but not dry.

    Add cream of tartar. Gradually add sugar into which the cornstarch has been mixed. Beat until stiff and shiny.

    Pile on pie.

    Bake about 10 minutes at 350° or until light brown.
