- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 6 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Directions

1In mixer bowl, beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar at medium speed of electric mixer for about 1 minute or until soft peaks form.

2Gradually add sugar, about 1 tablespoon at a time, beating at high speed for about 4 minutes or until mixture forms stiff, glossy peaks.

3Spread over pie, carefully sealing to edge to prevent shrinkage.

4Bake at 350° just until meringue turns golden, about 10 to 12 minutes.
