- 2 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Beat egg whites until foamy.

2Add salt and cream of tartar; beat until soft peaks form.

3Add 2 tablespoons of sugar at a time, beating constantly, until stiff peaks form.

4Fold in pecans and vanilla.

5Spoon into lightly greased pie plate, shaping as for a pie shell.

6Bake at 300° for 50 minutes or until light brown and firm.

7Cool.
