  • 1/2 c. sugar

    Spray 9-inch pie pan with Pam.

    Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy.

    Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time.

    Continue beating until stiff and glossy.

    Do not underbeat.

    Pile into pan, pressing meringue up against side of pan.
