- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pepper, or to taste
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, split
Directions

1Place the ground chuck into a skillet over medium-high heat.

2Cook, stirring to crumble, until no longer pink.

3Drain the grease from the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low.

4Add the onion and butter and season with garlic pepper.

5Cook, stirring frequently, until the onion is tender.

6Lay the slices of cheese on top of the meat.

7As the cheese starts to melt, fold the meat from the edges onto the cheese, keeping some of the meat under the cheese.

8Keep folding the meat until the cheese has completely melted and everything is well blended.

9Spoon onto hamburger buns to serve.
